Speaking at LinkedIn today, Michael Gove and Andrew Adonis will announce that from 30 September 2013 outstanding graduates will be able to apply to an exciting new career in children’s social work. Frontline will offer 100 successful applicants the opportunity to join a world-class leadership development programme, helping change the lives of some of Britain’s most vulnerable children.

Applicants will undertake a rigorous four-stage process including a self-selection questionnaire, online application form, psychometric testing and an assessment centre. Those who make the grade will join Frontline’s two-year programme beginning with a five-week Summer Institute in July 2014. Throughout October and November, Frontline’s Recruitment Team will attend universities across Britain to position social work as a career of choice for high-achieving graduates. Frontline has already received over 2,800 expressions of interest from potential applicants.

Frontline’s launch event is an opportunity for the organisation to acknowledge the commitment shown by its supporters over the past year. In the past twelve months Frontline has grown from a policy paper to an organisation with a head office, university partner and is about to embark on an extensive recruitment campaign. By hosting the launch event, LinkedIn is supporting Frontline’s recruitment of career changers from its 4 million members across the UK.

Commenting on the announcement of Frontline’s application opening date:
