Are you a penultimate year student?  Are you looking for an exciting role in a start up?  Are you keen to share your creative ideas?  After our first campaign across university campuses, Frontline are delighted to have been shortlisted for best advert for The Times Graduate Recruitment Awards 2014. We are now looking for proactive and high calibre penultimate year students to join our team for three weeks to help develop our campaigns.

Frontline Internship Programme
We are offering penultimate year students the opportunity to be part of the Frontline head office team for a three week internship this July. As part of this brand new organisation, your valuable contribution will help us towards transforming the lives of vulnerable children in the UK. We are also committed to helping you to develop a range of transferable skills that will help you to succeed in your future career.  Throughout the internship you will be given support from our team to give you exposure to different experiences and improve your employability.

Opportunities are available in the following areas:

Recruitment Research and Development
This is an exciting role working alongside our Recruitment team. You will be helping to develop Frontline brand awareness at universities across the UK. You will conduct valuable research which will help to shape the future of Frontline’s graduate marketing campaign and campus events. You will also have the opportunity to work with the team to create long-term strategies for the campaign. We are also looking for someone who is organised, keen to practice qualitative research, enjoys networking with other students and who can think creatively about presenting social work as a prestigious career.

Marketing and Communications
You will work with our External Relations team on a range of fantastic projects. You will have the opportunity to assist with the development of the Frontline website, our social media presence, as well as internal and external communications. You will need to be someone who loves to communicate with people in a variety of different ways including through social media, blogs, newsletters, emails and face to face. You should be confident in drafting copy, conducting research, copy editing, creating e-newsletters, compiling photos and content and assisting with other marketing and events.

How do you apply?

Produce a storyboard exploring the values of social work on campus.We’d like you to produce a storyboard exploring the values of social work on campus. This should comprise a collage of 5 students on campus holding up sheets of paper explaining what the values of social work mean to them.

The storyboard should answer the questions:
•    ‘What does diversity mean to you?
•    ‘What do human rights mean to you?’
•    ‘What does empowerment mean to you?’

Using blank white sheets of paper, ask students to write their answers to the questions taking photos of each student with their answer on the sheet. Try to use locations that you feel demonstrates social work values e.g. volunteering. This is a chance for you to show some of your creativity, it shouldn’t take you more than a couple of hours to complete. You only need to produce one A4 sheet with a collage of your photos in any format you like.
