Eligibility requirements

Degrees and level 7 qualifications

To apply for the Frontline programme you must:

– Have at least a 2.1 (predicted or obtained) in an undergraduate honours degree (or international equivalent)

– Have a 2.2 (predicted or obtained) in an undergraduate honours degree as well as a level 7 (e.g. Master’s degree) qualification which must have been obtained at the point of application

Applicants who do not hold an undergraduate honours degree are not eligible to apply.

Frontline will accept official final degree/level 7 certificates or transcripts. Your documentation must show your full name, details of your final awarded classification and the date obtained. Letters from institutions and screenshots from student profiles will not be accepted.

We highly encourage applicants to check their documentation before submitting an application as you will be unable to attend an assessment centre without this. Please note that failure to provide requested documentation within specified time frames may result in your application being withdrawn.

If you are in your final year of your undergraduate degree, you are eligible to apply providing you are on course to obtain at least a 2.1. in the Summer of 2021. You will not need to provide any transcripts as part of the application process but should you pass the assessment centre stage, we will need to obtain a reference from your academic tutor confirming you are predicted at least a 2.1.

Frontline will accept international qualifications providing they are confirmed as being equivalent to a UK Bachelors Degree (Honours) by the UK National Information Centre for the recognition and evaluation of international qualifications and skills (UK ENIC) and grades obtained meet the minimum requirements set by our university partner. If you are unsure if your international qualification is considered equivalent to a Bachelors with honours degree, we encourage you to liaise with UK ENIC before submitting your application as Frontline are unable to assess academic documents of applicants who have yet to submit an application.

Evidence of international documents provided must be the original certificates/transcripts and not translated versions.

Frontline will accept the following level 7 qualifications:

– Masters

– Postgraduate Diploma

– Postgraduate Certificate

– NVQ Level 7

If you are unsure if your qualification is a level 7, you are advised to contact the awarding institution/exam body for confirmation.

I have a level 6 qualification, which is the same level as a Bachelors degree, can I apply?

Applicants must hold an undergraduate honours degree specifically therefore, unfortunately, other level 6 qualifications will not be accepted.

I have a 2.1 Bachelors degree with honours, do I also need to have obtained a level 7 qualification?

No. The level 7 qualification require is for applicants who have not obtained at least a 2.1 in their undergraduate honours degree.

Due to extenuating circumstances, I was a few marks off from a 2.1, will you consider my application?

We are unable to accept applications from those who do not meet all of the eligibility requirements so unfortunately mitigating/extenuating circumstances will not be considered for applicants who do not meet these.
