Understanding Frontline’s entry requirements 7/8

Social work is an intellectually demanding job. Academic rigour is required for training and practice. You’ll have to keep up-to-date with legal frameworks and new approaches, as well as write court reports in support of the children and families in your caseload.

We require minimum academic standards and have additional eligibility requirements in order to apply to the programme. We are unable to be flexible with these.

  • At least grade C in English Language and Maths at GCSE (or equivalent qualification – higher qualifications will not be accepted in place of GCSEs)
  • A 2.1 (or equivalent) or higher in an undergraduate honours degree (predicted or obtained) OR a 2.2 (or equivalent) in an undergraduate honours degree plus a level 7 (e.g. Master’s degree) qualification
  • Eligibility to reside and study in the UK for the duration of the programme (including access to public funds for non-EEA applicants)
