Bespoke graduate programme
Frontline offers a high-quality leadership programme for graduates and career changers that will equip you with the skills and attributes required to make real change in social work and beyond.
Earn as you learn
With a competitive Year 1 bursary of between £16-19K (depending on location) and a newly-qualified social worker salary in Year 2 of around £30k (depending on location and local authority), Frontline is an exciting opportunity for both university leavers and those considering a change in career.

Qualify after 13 months
After our five-week Summer Institute and one year of on-the-job training, you’ll be able to register with HCPC to become a qualified social worker.
Receive high levels of support
You’ll receive an exceptional level of experience and support throughout the two-year programme from your Consultant Social Worker, Practice Tutor and the Frontline Programme Team
Study towards a fully-funded Masters degree
In Year 2, you’ll also be closely supported by the Frontline team, and by your academic tutor, as you work towards completing a fully funded Masters in Social Work.
Develop your leadership skills
You will be working with different organisations across the breadth of a child’s life where you will demonstrate real leadership in bringing about change for the good of the family. You’ll develop your confidence as a leader and will learn from world-class leadership experts to bring about positive change. In Year 2 you’ll also have access to a carefully matched coach to help you realise your potential and impact.
Join the Frontline Fellowship
Once you’ve completed the full two years of the programme you will be part of a movement that aims to transform the lives of vulnerable children through social work and broader society. By 2020 there will be over 1000 Frontline fellows in the Fellowship.
