Angela is a practice tutor in the Midlands region. She has over 15 years’ experience working as a social worker in a number of children and families settings throughout the Midlands. She has also supported children with special educational needs, unaccompanied child asylum seekers and children referred to child and adolescent mental health services.
Angela has also been seconded to adult services where she was involved in a project in the heart of the Midlands supporting men withdrawing from substance misuse. More recently she has supervised numerous foster carers and family and friends carers within a fostering and adoption team.
On Joining Frontline in 2017, Angela has embraced the core theories of motivational interviewing, systemic practice and social learning theory. She has used these theories when teaching to enhance the participants theoretical and practical knowledge in order to support and provide positive outcomes for families.
Angela has facilitated seminars since 2017 at Frontline’s summer institute and keynote lectures in 2018. She has been a practice educator for six years, supporting students and ASYE social workers, which is a role she has valued and gained satisfaction from.
