Cleo Joosten

Cleo is a practice tutor in the London region. She has been working with children and families for nearly 20 years and qualified as a social worker in 2005. She has spent the majority of her professional career working in child protection, both in rural counties and inner London. Cleo has also spent time working in Holland in an international school.

Cleo was appointed as a consultant social worker for the Frontline programme in 2014 with the first cohort of participants and enjoyed this role immensely for a further three years. During this time Cleo gained her practice educator’s qualification and became a systemic practitioner. She was appointed as practice tutor in 2017 in the London region and has most recently embarked on further study through a PgCert in Higher Education. Her areas of interest include child protection, working with young mothers, using strengths based approaches and developing emotional resilience in organisations.

Research interests

Cleo is currently undertaking a PgCert in Higher Education at Middlesex University.
