Eugene Ogbewele

Before joining Frontline as a practice tutor, Eugene spent the majority of his professional career in working in the statutory setting as an assistant social worker, child protection social worker and consultant practitioner. As a consultant practitioner, he ran group supervision session using systemic approaches and provided systemic social work case consultations. Eugene also led on the redesign of the consultant practitioner role within his local authority.

Outside of statutory child protection social work, he has worked as a safeguarding trainer for foster carers, a trainer in systemic practice and an assessing social worker for prospective foster carers. Eugene continues to sit as an independent social worker for a fostering agency.

Eugene has been a trainer on a 12-day systemic social work practice course where he co-delivered sessions alongside a family therapist. He has also delivered annual safeguarding training for foster carers. Eugene has been working as an practice tutor on the Frontline programme since September 2016. In this time, he has worked with units, initially in the North West of England, Essex and currently in London.
