Mandy Hope

Mandy is currently a practice tutor in the Midlands and a qualified social worker. She teaches and tutors social work participants on the Frontline programme. Mandy is an experienced social work practice leader with 30 years of experience working with children and families in voluntary, private and statutory services. She has expertise in assessment and intervention from relationship and strengths based perspectives. Her areas of work have been in therapeutic residential settings, inclusion projects, child and adolescent mental wellbeing, fostering, adoption, family support, child protection, court work, training, practice education, quality assurance and practice leadership.

Mandy is a capable, ethical and critical thinking social worker with a wide repertoire of skills informed by an advanced diploma in systemic practice and family therapy. She appreciates creativity, likes to innovate, and is confident to influence and lead change through individual and collective learning. Her practice is underpinned by a value base anchored in children’s and human rights, with a commitment to continued learning and being receptive to high levels of challenge and support. Mandy is passionate about influencing the cultural context of social work practice, enabling future social workers to uphold the values and ethics which govern the profession.
