Mandy Hope

Mandy is a practice tutor and qualified social worker. She is an experienced social work practice leader with 30 years of experience working with children and families in voluntary, private and statutory services. She has expertise in assessment and intervention from relationship and strengths based perspectives. Her areas of work have included therapeutic residential settings, inclusion projects, child and adolescent mental wellbeing, fostering, adoption, family support, child protection, court work, training, practice education, quality assurance and practice leadership.

Mandy is a capable, ethical and critical thinking social worker with a wide repertoire of skills informed by an Advanced Diploma in Systemic Practice and Family Therapy. Her practice is underpinned by a value base anchored in children’s and human rights with a commitment to continued learning and receptiveness to high levels of challenge and support. She is passionate about influencing the cultural context of social work practice, enabling future social workers to uphold the values and ethics that govern the profession.
