Rebecca Brewer

Rebecca joined the University of Bedfordshire as a Senior Lecturer on the Frontline programme in June 2015. Before this she worked in both adult and children’s statutory social work, including child protection teams and an adult mental health team. Prior to gaining her social work qualification, she worked alongside vulnerable adults and children both in the community and in residential settings.

Research interests

Her areas of interest are social work education, personal and professional development, and social justice and equality, with a particular commitment to promoting awareness of BAME groups.

Rebecca has been a Senior Academic Tutor on the Frontline programme since it started in 2015. To date she has supported two cohorts of Frontline participants through their first year, and supervised a number of MSc dissertations.
