Rebecca Brewer

In June 2017 Becky joined Frontline as principal practice tutor for the Midlands. Prior to that she was a senior lecturer on the Frontline programme. Before moving into that role in 2015 Becky worked in both adult and children’s statutory social work, where she worked in a child protection team and in an adult mental team. Prior to gaining her social work qualification, she worked alongside vulnerable adults and children, both in the community and in residential settings.

Research interests


Her areas of interest are social work education, personal and professional development, and social justice and equality, with a particular commitment to promoting awareness of BAME groups.

Rebecca has been a Senior Academic Tutor on the Frontline programme since it started in 2015. To date she has supported three cohorts of Frontline participants through their first year, and supervised a number of MSc dissertations.
