Frontline Awards

1. Award entries are free for all submissions.
2. Award entries must be submitted online via the Frontline website.
3. Nominations can be made by anyone who knows the nominee/s.
4. Frontline’s staff and trustees can’t be nominated. The exemption to this rule is the Frontline Award for Innovation, where Frontline fellows who are also members of Frontline’s staff can be nominated.
5. You can’t nominate yourself for an award.
6. Nominators must ask permission from the person they are nominating prior to submitting the nomination.
7. Nominators must check that their nominees are happy to commit to the following, prior to submitting the nomination:
   
   7a. Descriptions of those on the shortlist will be published in connection with the awards; by entering, you agree to reasonable use of your name, image and contents of your submission in promotional material and news reporting.
   
   7b. Winning entries will be displayed on Frontline websites and social media accounts; and as conditions of entry and/or acceptance of any award a license is granted to Frontline for these purposes.
   
   7c. Information supplied as part of entries will be treated as confidential and only used for the purposes of the awards and associated communications. We will keep your information on record for no longer than two years.
8. If you answer yes to, I would like to be kept informed of Frontline’s work and other activities, we will add your name and email address to our mailing list.
9. Nominees need to be available to attend the Frontline Awards ceremony in the evening of 22 May 2024 in London, should they win the award. Reasonable travel and accommodation expenses will be met by Frontline where required.
10. The deadline for award entries is 11:59pm on Friday 23 February 2024. Frontline reserves the right to cancel those entries (including supporting documentation) not received in full by the deadline.
11. Entries may be withdrawn at the discretion of the nominator or nominee up until the shortlisting stage. If a nominee would like to withdraw after this they will need to email events@thefrontline.org.uk.
12. Frontline will convene an internal shortlisting panel which will shortlist nominations in each category. The shortlists will be released in April 2024. All shortlisted nominees will be informed in March 2024. Frontline reserves the right to amend the above dates if necessary.
13. We will inform local authorities of the shortlisted social workers who they currently employ, ahead of the shortlist being shared externally and with nominees.
14. The shortlists of entrants for each category award will then be judged by the panel of judges. The judging panel includes social workers and young people with lived experience of social work.
15. Judges have the right to determine the standard of an award and to withhold an award in any category if, in their view, entries are not of sufficient merit.
16. The judges’ decisions are final, and no judge will enter into conversation or correspondence about decisions that have been made.
17. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted in respect of their entry. Although Frontline are grateful to and would like to encourage the efforts of all entrants, unfortunately Frontline cannot guarantee feedback on unsuccessful entrants.
18. Award winners will be announced at an in-person award ceremony in May 2024.

Legal terms and conditions

1. These Terms and Conditions, constitute the entire agreement of the parties. In entering into this agreement, the parties have not relied on, and shall have no remedy in respect of, any statement, representation, warranty, understanding, promise or assurance (whether negligently or innocently made) of any person other than as expressly set out in this agreement.
2. To the full extent allowed by law and insofar as it is reasonable to do so, entrants to the Awards agree not to hold Frontline liable for any damage or loss suffered or incurred in connection with entering the Awards, including consequential (i.e. losses which are not incurred as a direct consequence of the Award leading to any claim) or indirect losses or loss of profit, through entering the Awards, alteration of the Awards schedule, cancellation of the Awards, or any error or omission on the part of Frontline. This provision does not reduce or restrict Frontline’s liability for death or personal injury caused by Frontline’s negligence or liability for fraud on the part of Frontline.
3. Frontline reserves the right to disqualify entries or suspend voting if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred or it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting. Frontline has the right to substitute an alternative selection method at its absolute discretion.
4. Frontline reserves the right to change, cancel or suspend the nominations process at any time.
5. Frontline, its partners, sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any nomination not being received by Frontline, not properly registered or recorded.
6. These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with English law. The place of performance is London. Any disputes arising in relation to the interpretation of these terms and conditions or in relation to any agreement of which these terms and conditions form part, which cannot be settled amicably, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
