We are extremely grateful for the generous support we receive from trusts, foundations and philanthropists who share our vision of a society where no child’s life chances are limited by their social or family circumstances.
High-value grants and donations make an essential impact:
- The Garfield Weston Foundation recognised the importance of empowering early-career social workers and those facing barriers to progression. Thanks to their three-year backing, we launched our Step Forward programme in 2023, providing leadership development training to 193 children’s social workers over three cohorts. 99% reported an increase in their confidence in their leadership skills.
- The Swire Charitable Trust is ensuring that the voice of care-experienced young people feeds into all of Frontline’s work through our Young People Advisory Board.
- The Portal Trust wanted to help Frontline to expand our Innovation programme to care-experienced young professionals and youth workers, alongside the children’s social workers that have traditionally taken part in the programme. Since 2022, we’ve seed funded 21 innovative ideas that are improving the services supporting children at risk of harm.
- Monday Charitable Trust’s generous support is helping develop great practice in children’s social work by funding our annual Frontline Exchange event and our Practice Development Series of webinars.

Thank you to all our funders who provide grants towards our projects and programmes, and to all those who provide unrestricted donations. Unrestricted funding helps give charities like Frontline the flexibility to allocate resources where they are most needed. This includes giving us the opportunity to implement new initiatives and sustain our operation in the long run.
