Thank you for your interest in Approach Social Work. Please read the below instructions to ensure you complete your registration form correctly.

1. Enter your postcode, or the postcode that you intend to complete the programme at, in the location finder below. This will show you the locations closest to you. We don’t work in all locations, just the ones listed on our map.
2. All locations still open for 2026 require driving.
3. The pins also tell you the postcode for this location (scroll down in the box to see this if needed). Click on the Get directions link to be taken to Googlemaps.
4. Enter your postcode and calculate the commute time. Its vital you do this to arrive by 9am on a normal working Monday, changing ‘Leave now’ to ‘Arrive by’.
5. Enter the midpoint of your rush hour commute time onto the registration form.
6. Check if any other locations are within a 60 minute rush hour commute, if so please enter these as second or third choices. To ensure the best chance of securing a place at one of our assessment centres we would encourage you to select all commutable options within 60 minutes.
7. Complete the rest of your registration form and submit it!

Acceptable commute limits vary by local authority, due to geography and demand for places. To fill our remaining spaces for 2026 we have taken the decision to extend our acceptable commute time from 45 to 60 minutes, at rush hour. Please note this applies for applicants registering after 9 March only.
