She qualified as a social worker in South Africa in 1990 and emigrated to the UK in 2001. In 2009 she joined the leadership team in Hackney and then moved onto the senior management team of Barnet Family Services in 2016.
Brigitte has also been the director of corporate parenting and disabilities in Barnet for 8 years and is the agency decision maker on matters of adoption and fostering. Brigitte feels extremely privileged to be part of life changing decisions for children and families and believes every decision she makes for children needs to be made with care, professionalism and with a view to a child’s future.
