Edward Timpson

Chair

Edward is the chair of the board and former children’s minister.

Edward Timpson CBE KC is chair of Frontline’s board. He is a family law barrister and former Conservative MP. He also served as minister for children and families and later solicitor general in the Government.

Outside Parliament, he chaired CAFCASS and led the national Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel, authoring the “Timpson Review” into school exclusions. He continues to practise family law with a focus on supporting vulnerable children.
