Niketa Sanderson-Gillard
Niketa is the founder of Why Care, an organisation dedicated to improving foster care for children and young people. She was on Frontline’s first cohort in 2014 and has extensive experience in national social care policy at the Department for Education, including leading key policy areas for the independent review of children’s social care.
She is a Churchill Fellow, which supported her to explore international models of care. Niketa also sits on Southwark’s Independent Police Oversight Board, to encourage accountability and transparency in policing.
With a career dedicated to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people, Niketa is passionate about driving systemic change and fostering environments where all children can thrive.
