England’s largest social work charity Frontline, has announced that its flagship training programme will be renamed from June 2024 onwards.

Beginning in June, the name of the programme will change from the Frontline programme to Approach Social Work. This will also be paired with a visual identity update that sees the course take on new branding.

Approach Social Work is a three-year, fully-funded master’s programme, which exists to build a new, diverse generation of children’s social workers. The programme brings 500 new social workers specialising in child protection into the profession each year, adding to the 2,420 that Frontline has already trained over the last decade, helping to meet the need for more children and family social workers.

The 2024 programme will offer the same experience as previously advertised to prospective children’s social workers and is still designed and delivered by Frontline. Despite the programme changing its name, the name of Frontline, the charity, will remain the same.

The rebrand has been developed by Frontline in collaboration with branding agency, Studio Texture.
