Tim is the corporate director of children and young people for the London Borough of Newham.

Tim is the corporate director of children and young people for the London Borough of Newham. He is the lead director of children’s services for sector-led improvement for the Association of London Directors of Children’s Services (ALDCS). He chairs the North-East London Teaching Partnership and the North East London Commissioning Partnership. Prior to this, Tim was the director of children’s services for the London Borough of Havering where he led the team that took Havering on a journey from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good’.

Tim is a qualified social worker and has been working in children’s social care for over twenty years, starting out as residential care worker. He is particularly interested in the role organisational culture plays in setting the right environment for good practice to evolve and thrive.
