A little bit about the role

The Selection team are looking for care-experienced assessors to assess the interview activity at our virtual assessment centres. You will be meeting candidates and helping to choose the next cohort of the programme. You will often be working alongside other assessors, such as social work assessors and Frontline staff.
This is a paid opportunity (£122 per day/ £61 for a half day). Those who work with us will be added to our payroll and paid monthly for the work they do.

Who are we looking for
This is a great opportunity for young people to get involved with recruiting future social workers. We are looking to recruit young people who have experience of care to work with us at our assessment centres. Care-experienced assessors (CEAs) must be aged 18 or older. Please note that you must be able to show us evidence of your right to work in the UK (for example, a UK passport).

Important information
Reports to: Selection manager
Start/end date: October 2026 to May 2027
Location: Our assessment centres will take place online on a video conferencing platform. To apply for the assessor role, we ask that you have access to a laptop or PC with a stable internet connection and to be able to undertake assessment centres in a private space.
Contract type: Temporary
Hours: 8:45am – 6:00pm, with wash-up discussions taking place outside of these hours. You are more than welcome to join this space if you would like to, though this is optional and you will not be required to stay beyond the timings of your shift.
Salary: £122 per day/ £61 for a half day
