Earn while you train
You’ll receive a bursary in year one and a salary from year two, while you study for a fully funded master’s degree.

Programme overview
Year one: preparing to practice; working with your hub in one of our partner children’s services; qualifying as a social worker.
Year two: working as a newly qualified social worker; continued teaching and support.
Year three and beyond: completing your master’s degree; ongoing support from the Frontline Fellowship.

Pay and progression
Year one: tax free bursary of £18,000 (£20,000 in London)
Year two: newly qualified social worker salary, up to £34,000
Career progression: opportunities include becoming a senior practitioner, practice educator or stepping into a leadership role.
Eligibility requirements
- 2.2 in an undergraduate honours degree
- GCSE English Language at Grade C/4 or above
- Right to work and study in the UK until Sep 2028
- Resident in England
- Not social work qualified
